Software Expert (Development & Programming)

Why This Role Exists: Job Chow Recruiting supports a data collection initiative improving how AI systems understand software interfaces and multi-step workflows. Current datasets lack the fidelity needed to reflect authentic professional software usage. This project collects high-quality screen annotations and recordings by experienced domain experts.

What You'll Do

• Record screen sessions demonstrating tasks with clear verbal narration
• Annotate screenshots by drawing precise bounding boxes around UI elements
• Follow staging instructions to set up specific UI states before recording
• Use a custom capture tool to record workflows accurately
• Adhere closely to task guidelines for data quality

Who You Are

• Strong familiarity with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Quartus, VMware
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow precise instructions
• Comfortable working independently and meeting tight deadlines
• Access to physical Mac; can create fresh macOS profile if required

Nice-to-Have

• Prior data collection, annotation, or QA experience
• Workflow recording or documentation experience
• Comfort with new tools and staged environments
